Tenant Consultations

For this consultation, 3,353 households were contacted by email, text, and post on Wednesday 11th December 2024. When the consultation closed on 10th January 2025, we had received 542 responses.
This resulted in a total response rate of 17%.

Rent increase choice
We gave our tenants the opportunity to choose a rent increase of either;

A)2.7%

B)3.2%

C)3.7%.

The majority (80.3%) of tenants voted for a 2.7% increase.

We had a good response from tenants, and the internal working group pulled together the following report and action plan.

Equalities Report and Action Plan

This survey was carried out between 26th March and 19th April 2024. Tenant interviews were carried out using a hybrid of telephone and face to face.

This survey asked about your satisfaction with our services, your home, and neighbourhood. Gathering this feedback is a regulatory requirement for the organisation, we need to know your thoughts so that we can keep doing the things that work well and change the things that do not.

This survey was open from the 15th of January 2024 until the 15th February 2024, tenants were contacted by email, SMS or post.

The purpose of the survey was to obtain information on how the cost of living crisis is affecting our tenants, this will help us to understand the impacts and use the information to provide evidence for Scottish Government and to hopefully support external grant funding opportunities.

This survey ran from the 12th of December 2023 until the 12th January 2024, tenants were contacted by email, SMS or post.

The consultation for agreeing Albyn's Rent Charge Consultation for the period April 2023 to March 2024 ran from 23rd November 2022 to 4th January 2023.

Tenants were contacted by email, text, and post to get their views.

Responses were used to inform our Board's decision-making on Rent levels for 2023/24.

The board have agreed to an increase of 5% to all rents. Tenants will be informed by post of their new rent levels which come into effect from 1st April.

Albyn Housing Society wanted to hear about how customers feel and how we can improve what we do. By customers telling us what they think, they can have a real say in improving the lives of their family and community. Their feedback is vital in ensuring they can shape and influence our decision making.

We sent out our Customer Satisfaction Survey (via text message, e-mail, and by post) at the end of 2021.
