Primary School Pupils Sport New Look Thanks to Albyn

Wednesday 16 July 2014

Pupils at Newmore Primary in Invergordon looked the part recently in their new school sports kits, which were purchased with help from a £250 grant from our Community Fund.

The Fund, which exists to provide grants to support local projects, is still available to communities across the Highlands which we serve.

After learning of the Community Fund, Julie Lowson, primary 4-7 teacher at Newmore, contacted us to find out about grants available. Over 24 pupils from primary four to seven will benefit from the new sports kits which include new shorts, socks and tops.

Helen Barton, our Customer Services Director, said: “It has been great to see the children today looking very smart in their new sports kits.

“At Albyn we are committed to supporting our local communities and I’m delighted our community fund is benefiting these children to help them exercise together and enjoy the fresh air.”

Morag Wright, Head Teacher at Newmore Primary School, said: “We really appreciate the support from Albyn and their commitment to helping local groups.”
