Everybody needs good neighbours

Are you worried about a neighbour who lives near you? Some people don’t have a family that is local or a support network around them and may be experiencing issues but do not like to seek help.
Signs might be they are neglecting their property (not cutting the grass, build up of rubbish) or have changed in appearance. Their behaviour may have changed such as appearing to become isolated or displaying erratic behaviour.

You may wish to approach your neighbour to discuss if they are experiencing a difficult time. You can start by simply checking in on them and asking how they’re doing, or if there’s anything you can do to help.

If you haven’t seen your neighbour in a while and are worried they no longer live at the property or may need help you can report this to Albyn Housing on 0300 323 0990 option 3 who can investigate and contact a next of kin if need be.
