Weather Warning: Storm Éowyn

You will be aware of Storm Éowyn making its way across the country. Albyn offices remain closed to the public without appointment our staff are available 0300 323 0990.

Snow (yellow warning) and high winds (amber warning) are likely to result in difficult travelling conditions. During this inclement weather, to ensure the safety of our staff and contractors, visits may need to be rescheduled. You will be contacted if this impacts you.

What should I expect?

  • There is a good chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
  • Probably some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs
  • Longer journey times and cancellations likely, as road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected
  • Flying debris is likely and could lead to Injuries or danger to life
  • Some roads and bridges likely to close
  • Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services

Albyn’s focus will be to support tenants by making telephone calls to those in our most vulnerable categories. We have pulled together some helpful information to assist you:

Albyn funds: Albyn have a number of different funds which we have put in place in order to support our tenants who require a little extra help. This extreme weather may impact your household costs, please get in touch if you would like to learn more about how these funds can help. They are there to be used so please speak with your housing officer, or ring our main office numbers (above) and ask for more information.

Repairs – While contractors may have more difficulty travelling during bad weather, you can still report repairs by calling 0300 323 0990 and selecting option 1 when prompted.
