Albyn’s COVID-19 Route Map
(Letter mailed to tenants week commencing 19 April 2021.)
As you will be aware, the coronavirus lockdown conditions will be eased in Scotland on the 26th of April 2021. This means that from that date, we will be able to reintroduce many of the services that we have had to suspend in recent months due to the lockdown. We have therefore produced the enclosed route map, which shows our plans in relation to when you can expect these various services to start again.
All of these measures will of course be subject to the eased restrictions remaining in place. Should the Scottish Government need to reintroduce tighter measures as a result of any new surge in coronavirus cases, then we will be obliged to follow this guidance.
With regard to repairs within your home, please note that we have built up a large backlog of non-essential repairs during the backlog when contractors were not able to come into your home. This means that we will not be able to deal with all of these repairs right away. It will take us several months to work through this backlog and so, if you are waiting for a reported repair to be completed, we would ask you to bear with us whilst we catch up on this work.
You will also note that we have said that our major works programme, (kitchen replacements, new heating systems, etc.), our cyclical maintenance programme and end of defects inspections are due to re-start. There will be a large amount of planning involved in getting these works ready to commence, so again, if you are due to have major works carried out, please bear with us whilst this is arranged. If you are due to have major works carried out, you will receive a letter from our Asset Management Department to advise when the work is due to start. All of our major contracts were suspended at this time last year and so we are having to catch-up on all of these postponed works. Your patience whilst we work towards achieving this would be appreciated.
