Sutherland and Ross-shire Handyperson Services

We are very pleased to let you know that the Sutherland Handyperson Service has now been launched. Albyn Housing Society is very proud to have been a part of the steering group that developed this new service.
We applied for Wider Role funding from Communities Scotland for the project and secured a grant of £107,868 over 3 years towards the running costs of the service. The Handyperson Service is available for pensioners or people with a disability who live in Sutherland. The Handy Person can do a variety of odd jobs and small repairs around the home. Anyone using the service will be charged only the cost of any materials needed to do the work. There will be no charge for time or travel costs.

Albyn have also worked with a different group to establish a Handyperson service for Ross & Cromarty. We will include details of its launch in the next edition of Newsview.
