ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2011
Albyn's Annual General Meeting took place on 16 August 2011 at the Thistle Hotel in Inverness. 56 Members and guests attended and received presentations from Albyn's Chairperson, Chief Executive, Finance & Corporate Services Director and Development Director. In addition, the meeting heard from the guest speaker, Mr Stephen Naysmith, Editor of the Herald Society. An outline of the evening's events is noted below:

Mr Stephen Naysmith, Editor of the Herald Society, gave an interesting speech which was warmly received by those at the meeting.

CHAIRPERSON’S REPORT
Mrs Ella MacRae updated on the progress that Albyn has made through the year. She thanked both the Board and the staff for all their hard work throughout the year.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE’S REPORT
Mr Calum Macaulay presented his report to the AGM. He too thanked the staff for their support and hard work through the year.

FINANCE & CORPORATE SERVICES DIRECTOR’S REPORT
Mr Nairn took the group through the main points regarding Albyn’s financial performance through the year. This financial information is included in the 2010/11 Annual Report which can be downloaded from the right hand side bar.
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR’S PRESENTATION
Mr Lockhart gave a Powerpoint presentation on the new developments that have been built through the year. This presentation is available to download from the right hand side bar.
ELECTION TO THE BOARD
Three members of the Board stood down for re-election and all were re-appointed to the Board. They were: Mrs Cairney, Mr Oag and Mrs MacRae. Board nominations had been received from Mr Gavin Sinclair and Mr Douglas Russell. Both were duly elected to the Board.
The Board re-appointed the following office bearers:
Chairperson: Mrs Isabell McLaughlan
Vice-Chair: Mrs Sheena Slimon
Secretary: Mr George Kelman
APPOINTMENT OF BAKER TILLY AS AUDITORS
Baker Tilly were re-appointed as Albyn’s Auditors for 2011/12.

The next AGM is due to take place on 14 August 2012.
