In our Winter 2003 Newsview, we were pleased to be able to tell you abut Albyn’s role in supporting the development of a new Highland-wide advocacy service. This service is now up and running, and we can give you some more information about how you can get to get access to it if you need it:
What is Advocacy?

Who is it For?
Volunteer advocates across the Highlands are now providing support to people of all ages, including children, in the following client groups

People who are homeless
-
People with mental health problems, including dementia
-
People with learning disabilities
-
Frail older people
Advocacy Highland is an independent voluntary organisation. Advocacy is provided free of charge and is confidential. An Independent Advocate does not belong to any group that may have an interest in providing services to the person concerned.
Advocacy Highland can support YOU to help someone in YOUR community speak up.
