Albyn Hosts Tea Party for Cancer Care
26 July 2010

Albyn Housing Society is doing its bit to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care by holding a staff tea party at the Maclennan Crescent office in Inverness.

The housing association encouraged staff to bring in homemade cakes and biscuits, which were sold at the recent tea party.  Money raised will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care to help Nurses care for terminally ill people in their own homes.

Calum Macaulay, Chief Executive at Albyn, said: “We wanted to help raise some money for the worthwhile cause that is Marie Curie Cancer as well as giving our staff a bit of catch up time with each other away from their desks.”

“We are very proud of our staff for so generously contributing to the party and look forward to hosting more fundraising events in future.”

The event was a great success and raised a total of £200.
